Diesel engines installed in trucks, machines, road machines, machinery, building and agricultural equipment due to its capacity, use significantly more air than cars. Also yearly mileage in kilometres or moto- hours are a few times higher. The assurance of long life of engines requires higher air filters specifications. Required contaminant filtering efficiency comes up to 99,9% and is higher than for cars. Also the contaminants absorptivity must be high due to long periods between cartridge replacements (several times longer than in the case of cars). All these factors lead to large sizes and solid construction of air filters for trucks, and the filtering medium size comes often to 10m².
